I used to play a bit of poker when I was younger and learned that nothing beats a Royal Flush. But on Saturday I learned something that’s better than that! That’s right, it’s a pair of Ellas, on evidence in today’s photo.

My cousin Eric and his family live in Squamish, BC, a short distance from Quest University and Chloe’s dorm. We stopped by their house on Saturday afternoon to not only connect, but to have the two Ellas meet. If you haven’t figured it out, Eric and Jenny, his wife, have a daughter named Ella (and another younger daughter named Zadie). They are a wonderful family and much fun to spend time with. They have also invited Chloe over for dinner a couple of times. She reports that a home-cooked meal really hits the spot.
