So there’s this old cedar tree that sits between our next door neighbor’s house and ours. It’s tall and overgrown, and rains down limbs and needles on our home, not to mention denying natural light to our dining room. For years, Melinda and I have talked about having it removed or, at the very least, trimmed.
We talked to a man who was removing another neighbor’s tree last week. He sang the praises of this cedar and said he wanted to convince us to keep it. He was successful.
So on Thursday he came and gave the tree a mighty trimming, what might be likened to getting a serious haircut after years of neglecting your hair.
And now we have light in our dining room.
